Into the Attic
Dollhouse just never came together. It had a jumbled premise, unlikable characters, some solid actors, ginormous plot holes, a near-cancellation and a second season that seemed to be finally pulling itself back together. I blame the Twin Peaks-ish music for the doldrums. Fringe is fraught with just as many problems but at least it’s music gives the illusion that something interesting is happening. The “attic” in the strip’s title refers to where the show’s “Dolls” go when they are retired.
Update: It looks like the great Scott Kurtz at the great PVP had the same idea. I think I like his take on the joke better.
