The original comic book is a prized possession of mine. I occasionally lend it to friends, which always leads to the same reaction: “Are there any more of these?”

Socks and Barney is an online comic strip that started with a look a the presidential nomination and election process through the most appropriate lens available: buttsniffing, dumb animals. Socks and Barney started on Election Day 2007 and ran through Election Day 2008. It recently started up again on January 1, 2009. New strips are posted Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Socks and Barney is written and drawn by Steve Conley. Contact Steve with notes, site suggestions, advertising inquiries or if you want to print this comic strip in your newspaper.

I think it’s a great cartoonification..
and I feel compelled to point out that I like the eyes, reminds me of my own Lionheart strips – half lids in most expressions..
