Socks near death

Sad news is that Socks the cat has cancer and isn’t expected to live.

As readers of Socks and Barney know, this simply means that Socks will be faking his death and entering the Petness Relocation Program.  All pets must do this periodically so humans never learn that they are, in fact, immortal. God speed Socks and enjoy your new life of anonymous splendor!
