West Virginia primary today

May 13th, 2008

Though the People of Earth have decided that the Democratic race is over and Barack Obama is the presumptive nominee, West Virginia is holding their primary today.

Hillary Clinton is heavily favored - by almost two to one - in the state. Only 28 delegates are at stake so the results won’t change the delegate math all that much. Clinton is planning a big victory party. Obama is expected to make a general election speech tonight targeting McCain.

I get the sense that tonight’s news coverage will be like an Irish wake - the last drunken, party celebrating the life of the deceased.

Raise your glass!
