Chorus building for Clinton to drop out
March 28th, 2008This is like one of those algebra questions from the olden days… one airplane piloted by the GOP is flying from the right at a speed of X and the Dem one is flying from the left at a higher rate of speed of (X Y).
How long before the bickering between Clinton and Obama cause the Dem plane to lose control and crash in a fiery wreck allowing the GOP plane to safely land and commit another generation of U.S. soldiers to an endless bloodbath in Iraq and stick the subsequent generation with the bill?
A number of Democratic bigwigs including Chris Dodd (who has a fantastic wig spun of the finest unicorn hair) and Patrick Lehy have called on Clinton to end her campaign.
“Senator Clinton has every right, but not a very good reason, to remain a candidate for as long as she wants to. As far as the delegate count and the interests of a Democratic victory in November go, there is not a very good reason for drawing this out. But as I have said before, that is a decision that only she can make,” Leahy said.
