Super Tuesday live blog-type thing
February 5th, 200812:55am ET: I’m out. Talk to you all tomorrow.
12:50am ET: Chuck Todd of MSNBC is suggesting this breakdown of delegates for the Dems right now…
Obama - 841 Delegates
Clinton - 837 Delegates
MSNBC pet peeve: Their map of the US shows Michigan and Florida in Hillary’s win column when those two states weren’t contested and have no delegates. Obama’s name wasn’t even on the ballot in Michigan.
12:45am ET: E-mail from the Obama campaign:
As of right now, we have won more states and delegates than Senator Clinton.
That’s an amazing accomplishment.
12:43am ET: NBC calling Missouri and Alaska for Obama
12:39am ET: Romney wins Colorado
12:30am ET: Wire services were calling Missouri for Clinton but with 98% of the vote in, Obama has a slight lead.
12:15am ET: NBC calling California and Missouri for McCain. Bad news for Romney.
12:12am ET: NBC calling California for Clinton. Not unexpected. Looks like it will be the expected draw between Clinton and Obama. This is great news for residents of Virginia, Maryland and DC as our primary votes next week will matter for the first time in a long time.
Bah! Wordpress chewed up the running election-night blog-type thing. The software really doesn’t like importing tables. And in an odd turn: Google is running ads for John McCain on the site.
Here are the state wins as of 12:43am ET (delegates matter more than wins but wins give great headline)…
| Obama AK AL CO CT DE GA ID IL KS MN MO ND UT |
Clinton AR AZ CA MA NJ NY OK TN |
McCain AZ CA CT DE IL MO NJ NY OK |
Romney CO MA MN MT ND UT |
Huckabee AL AR GA TN WV |

Anyone notice how Billary claimed wins in the states that, by the accounts of other organisations are ’susceptible’ to tampering of the e-voting machines?
Like : AR, NJ, NY

Not that Billary are above such things as tampering or falsifying documents and information. Also of note, it seems that those of us living abroad don’t really count. Well, maybe we do, but it’s hard for us to actually know if it counted or not.

I am also rather disgusted that they gave Hillary FL and MI. Ummm… weren’t those two states banned by the DNP? Amazing how she “won” them, then.
Normally I vote Republican and occasionally Independent with the odd Democrat thrown in if they look worthwhile. It’s rather sad that the only Republican that I actually like, Ron Paul, is the one that people somehow think is the “joke” of this year’s process. He has been the only consistent one of the whole lot that has backed up what he says with his voting record. Unlike some other wafflers.
As it seems the only person I really would vote for president won’t even make a VP running (judging solely by the polls), it looks like I’ll have to vote Obama simply just to not have another lying Clinton in office.
At times like this, I wonder why we simply don’t go with a popular vote instead of delegates. It sure makes anyone voting for Ron Paul feel like you’ve just cast your ballot to the wind. So much for “every vote counts”.
